C-T-CLEAD (Leadership in Education and Development) Programme

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has."
Margaret Mead

The LEAD Programme is a bespoke design for every school focusing on the particular challenges it is experiencing and is aimed at Deputes and Faculty Heads. It is delivered over a period of time, usually around 4 – 5 months.

The senior team in every school is expected to exhibit management and leadership skills from the Head Teacher downwards however, as in other organisations, being a good teacher doesn’t automatically mean you know how to be a good manager and this puts an enormous amount of pressure on individuals as they wrestle with everyday problems along with the bigger issues in the running of the school.

The LEAD programme is delivered in bite size chunks, locally and deals with a range of management skills in groups as well as being tailored for individuals and targeting specific challenging issues in 1:1 coaching.

It is designed to link Education to Enterprise and foster relationships between schools and employers.

It is cost effective with a practical emphasis on results.

All interventions will focus on action outcomes linked to individual or organisational objectives.

The Business placements are an opportunity for teachers to shadow a business manager and experience the similarities and differences in their work, creating greater understanding of the commercial world in order to help their students.

  • A flexible programme which will be designed to meet the needs of each school. Participants may be from either Primary or Secondary Schools
  • Delivered in convenient practical sessions of 2 – 3 hours and each session followed up separately in 1:1 coaching sessions with each participant
  • Attendance hours can be recorded against CPD
  • Learning events can be delivered to participants from a cluster of schools, minimising travel times/costs, or within one school
  • Flexible hours on Business Placements to fit in with participants requirements
  • Group numbers can be agreed with a minimum of 6 in each group
  • All learning materials are provided by C-T-C Ltd
