“If you could get all the people in an organisation rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition at any time.”   -   CEO

Traditionally this would have come under the banner of Team Development and fallen within the remit of Organisational Development.  Team coaching is quite different though and it has emerged as a result of individual coaching having seen exponential growth in the last 20 years.

“Systemic team coaching is a process by which a team coach works with a whole team, both when they are together and when they are apart, in order to help them improve both their collective performance and how they work together and also how they develop their collective leadership to more effectively engage with all their key stakeholder groups to jointly transform their wider business.”   -   Peter Hawkins, Leadership Team Coaching

Team development used to be taught by experts, based on theories and case studies and cognitively orientated.  Systemic Team coaching looks at the real challenges they are facing, the relationships within the team, the effect that ripples out to the wider organisation based on the team culture and it exposes what is really going on, it names the elephant in the room and it builds a stronger and more authentic and effective team based on their experience.

Team coaching may not be for the faint hearted but the results speak for themselves.
